
Ian Munday's exhibition Solid Air-remembering John Martyn opened at Red Wall Gallery on Sunday 11th of July at 5.30pm.
Solid Air is a series of works in which the artist has collaged various found objects to plywood reworking and painting to create relief surfaces. The works in this exhibition are a tribute to the late British Musician John Martyn who has been an ongoing inspiration and musical studio accompaniment to Munday’s creative process.
The exhibition was opened by Professor Ralph Crane, Head of School of English and European Languages University of Tasmania.
The show will run until Friday 6th of August.
Red Wall Gallery is open Mon-Tue 6pm-10pm; Wed-Sun 12pm-3pm, 6pm-10pm.
