People love looking like animals. These paintings are inspired by us the human, you the animal, me the artist. Primal urges have to be taken notice of. My primal urge is to paint like our ancestors. The animals that used to paint with the colours of the earth and the freedom that we all think we have but have lost due to today's society of forgetting where we came from and what we once were. So forget looking like a human of today's standards and remember what we once were, I love looking like an animal.

The purpose of these paintings is to create a sense of 20th and 21st Century domestic environments. In particular they aim to provoke feelings of the sparcity inherent in the spaces we create as living environments. Harsh, flat areas of colour intergrated with organic decorative patterns signify the way we represent nature in domestic spaces.
This series has been created through the recycling of images from within my own domestic environment, similarly to way images from the environment are recycled to create patterns in decorative design. Likewise, images are recycled several times within the paintings to reflect this process.
Formally they propose an ambiguity between the representation of three-dimensional space, whilst drawing attention to the two-dimensionality of the picture plane.
