Ashes to Ashes is a series of drawings and paintings by Tasmanian based artist Felicity Edwards. The works were inspired after viewing the landscape after the Victorian bushfires a year ago.
"The landscape, completely devoid of wild life and foliage is eerie yet somehow mystical. The black burnt tree trunks stand as sentinels amongst the ash grey blanket that covers the earth. Hints of ochre, sepia and pink hues flow through the strange shadows that they caste."
The show will open Sunday 14th of February at 5.30pm and run until 6 March 2010.
